Katrina Bea's work opens us to the delicate balance we find within the natural world. Walking the line between eroticism and innocence, she continually challenges our minds natural reactions and the ideals of what we perceive to be grotesque and what is beautiful. Her figures, often taking the form of marionettes, whose strings are being pulled by something more and dolls, often left incomplete compel the viewer to look deeper. Inside these broken pieces tells a story just as important as the pronounced image staring back at you. |
